Q: WHAT’S THE PERFECT “HOT GIRL WALK” OUTFIT?

I have two ideas for your next “hot girl walk” outfit: Magnum P.I. and Bohemian Sea Nymph.

1. Polo Ralph Lauren Chino Cap. 2. Gap 100% Linen Big shirt (some colors are on sale). 3. Khaite x Oliver Peoples 1984C. 4. Alex Mill Field Short. 5. Dorsey Crawford earrings. 6. Dragon Diffusion Mini Flat Gora Bag. 7. Ancient Greek Sandals Dimitra.

Earlier this month,

Laurel Pantin
posed a very intriguing question: “Why is Everyone H*rny for Magnum P.I.?” Like Laurel, I've never seen an episode of Magnum P.I., but by now, I've probably seen every outfit Tom Selleck wore on the show due to this dedicated Magnum P.I. Instagram. As I browsed through the Instagram account, what stood out to me were his tiny tiny shorts, fitted shirts, and a penchant for baseball caps. For this look, I definitely glammed up the machismo of his everyday style with a delicate earring from Dorsey and pendant-adorned sandals from Ancient Greek Sandals. All though overall, I think it captures the essence of the man, the myth, the legend that is Magnum P.I.

1. Pardo Hats “Juana”. 2. Alix Of Bohemia Stevie Carmine Coin Shirt. 3. Don’t Let Disco “All Shell the Summer.” 4. Siedres Siam Floral Lace Midi Skirt. 5. James Banks Design Code Bracelet. 6. A.Emery Elliot Sandal.

On the other hand, if the first look is a little too macho, may I suggest something a tad more bohemian? When I was putting together this look, I was thinking of so many things: Florence Welch, Stevie Nicks, pirates, a sea wench, a sea nymph, the bohemian Chloé girl, etc. As I assembled this outfit, I realized that maybe I didn’t understand what a “hot girl walk” was. It turns out that a hot girl walk is a 4-mile walk where you can only think about positive and affirming things—which I think this look actually encapsulates perfectly in a weird way. I mean, who doesn’t want to look like light is emanating from their body as they walk down the street thinking only good thoughts?
