WHAT I AM TAKING AWAY FROM FW24
In this week's letter we wrap up our FW24 discussion, and I style looks based off some of my favorite collections.
To put it plainly, the season was one big pile of meh.
Now, don't get me wrong; there were some truly breathtaking collections. Chemena Kamali's debut at Chloe was spectacular, and though it was a nostalgic presentation she skillfully avoided the pitfalls that usually accompany the notion. Altuzarra's eccentricity was delightful, and it feels like he is revealing more about his identity and taste with each passing season. Simone Belloti's sophomore collection for Bally exuded great strength and understanding of the brand. Unlike his predecessor, Belloti demonstrated a keen understanding of the house, crafting footwear, accessories, and ready-to-wear that seamlessly complemented each other.
