Consider Yourself a Shopper #26: To buy The Row towel, or not to buy The Row towel? That is the question!
As well as an alternative to the Skinceuticals Vitamin C serum, and an update on my array for At Present.
I’ve been dealing with a bad case of the 'spendies' lately, or more so a drastic case of the 'spendies' and the 'wanties.' I wanted those Dries Van Noten striped pants, but instead, I opted to satiate my buying urges by bidding on a piece that was featured weeks ago in
(by the way, I won the auction:)). I was about to purchase those Miu Miu rope sandals that I keep talking about, but before my finger could press 'purchase,' I closed out of everything and went to a massage parlor for cupping. And when I went to The Row Store with the full intent to spend upwards of $300 on the orange printed towel, I promptly high-tailed it out of there, met someone for coffee, and bought a ticket to Paris instead. The allure of Paris has called to me for as long as I can recall, and it mirrors the magnetic pull I feel towards New York City. With life's shortness in mind, I reasoned that if not now, then when? Thus, not only will I embark on my inaugural journey to Paris in September, but I will also have the privilege of experiencing Paris Fashion Week firsthand! This gives me ample time to learn a few words in French beyond the mere basics of 'bonjour,' 'oui,' and 'fromage.'
But enough about my future Parisian escapades—let's delve into a few more indulgences that have satiated my 'spendies.'
Here are the things in my home, in my cart, or simply on my mind!

Following the launch, I found myself torn between several pieces, especially the captivating Joie DiGiovanni. Ultimately, I may just seize the opportunity to treat myself before the offer expires! I settled on the pendant, and I envision wearing it on a cord in a sort of cheeky summer camp look and feel.
YSL Bullseye Hand Towel
A few weeks ago,
penned a piece that truly made me ponder: do I really need to buy The Row towel? To expand beyond my own pondering, I think the piece was really asking the question of when one should invest in the designer version of things. Before The Row jellies even hit stores, the market was flooded with jelly alternatives that could easily quench one’s thirst for The Row’s version (and now with these cases of the jellies breaking, maybe it was best I didn’t shell out for them yet?). And though I was on the fence about buying the towel, I decided to throw caution to the wind and had it in mind that I would purchase it to celebrate a big moment.Keep reading with a 7-day free trial
