Jalil this is an incredible read. This quote really resonated with me "We need things that inspire us to reach for something greater than we were yesterday."

Such a beautiful read, and a balm for the eve of the election. Consider me cultured.

You epitomize elegance. It was my very first thought, that word, when I first encountered you. And we need it. Today, tomorrow and every day forward. Thank you. 😚

Yes, I love that book! Fascinating to think it was written almost 100 years ago, its relevance and rawness stand the test of time. I had forgotten Vreeland's quote "elegance is refusal" - that says so much right now. Beautifully written piece, I wish I had been sitting at that Lodi breakfast table with you.

I’ve been recommending the book to everyone! Best read of the year! Also I can’t recommend a sole breakfast at restaurant enough! Michael’s on 55th is also great for people watching!

Thanks for the restaurant recommendation! Still would have loved to have heard that "one flu away" comment, too funny. Currently climbing the walls, trying to manifest 'elegance is refusal' for humanity. Cheers!
